The Good Cause

The Office of Strategy with the Gothong Southern Foundation Inc. will donate the proceeds to our adopted Cambagocboc Elementary School in Balamban, Cebu.

The funds will help the families of the students in preparation for the 2021-2022 school year.

The Virtual Race

The race is based on the distance between Gothong Southern's Cebu Head Office to the school at 41 Km.

GVRacers can walk, run, or bike anytime, anywhere, and log their distance through the Strava ®️ App or take a photo of their Treadmill or Stationary Bike display.

The GVR has 3 Categories:
1. Beginner - Complete the 41 Km in 14 Days.
2. Advance - Complete the 41 Km in 7 Days.
3. Bike - Complete the 41 Km in 7 Days.

The first racer of each category to complete the 41 Km is the Winner.

Race Categories are:
1. Beginner - Racer must complete the 41 Km in  14 Days (August 2, 5:00 AM - August 15, 12:00 MN) to qualify as a finisher.
2. Advance - Racer must complete the 41 Km in 7 Days (August 8, 5:00 AM - August 15, 12:00 MN) to qualify as a finisher.
3. Bike - Racer must complete the 41 Km in 7 Days (August 8, 5:00 AM - August 15, 12:00 MN) to qualify as a finisher. 

Once registration is received, we will send you a confirmation via email with the link to join the GVR WhatsApp group.

Registration Fee is  PhP 500

Runners and Bicycle Racers must download the Strava ®️ application on your mobile phones to track your progress through the race.

Make sure to Record your Walk, Run, or Ride on the Strava ®️ app.

For those Running on Treadmill or Riding on the Staionary Bike, take a picture of your distance achieved on the equipment's LED Screen plus a selfie with the treadmill or stationary bike and send it on the GVR WhatsApp group.

Take a picture of your run or bike distance logs and Click the  Share icon to send your progress to the GVR WhatsApp group.

For those Running on Treadmill or Riding on the Staionary Bike, send the picture of your distance achieved on the equipment's LED Screen plus a selfie with the treadmill or stationary bike to the GVR WhatsApp group.

The Committee will record your progress based on your shared race logs on the WhatsApp group.

NOTE: Race logs not posted on the GVR Whats App Group will not be counted.
